Quality & responsible sourcing.

Material identity, provenance and the right questions before a transaction progresses.

Start with material identity.

Commercial names are a starting point. The material being offered needs to be assessed against the buyer’s required composition, form, grade and application. An agreed specification should identify the proposed lot and the information used to evaluate it.

Assay, sampling and inspection.

Ask for the relevant analysis and agree how samples are taken, tested and linked to the proposed shipment. Where an independent inspection is required, its scope, timing, location and cost should be agreed in writing. No inspection company or certification is implied by this catalogue.

Origin and responsible sourcing.

Provenance matters, particularly for gold and tantalum-bearing ores. A sourcing enquiry should establish lawful ownership, the declared origin, the supply chain information available and the documentation required for the transaction. Any unresolved discrepancy needs to be addressed before proceeding.

What buyers can request.

  • A lot-specific material description and available assay information.
  • Declared origin, ownership and supporting traceability documents.
  • Packing details, net weights and relevant sampling arrangements.
  • Inspection requirements, export documentation and shipment responsibilities.

Keep each agreement specific.

Quality, availability, sourcing evidence and inspection arrangements are established for the material being quoted. Representative photographs and general product descriptions do not replace lot-specific evaluation.
